March 14: Two or More
The penultimate Piece Prize session went off like a charm. The St. Patty's day trivia theme must've spilled over to the puzzling itself as numerous participants had the good fortune (and skill!) to complete their puzzle in the allotted time.
March Madness!
The Ariana Murphy team from Purcellville, Virginia completing their Springbok puzzle in less than an hour! Sadly, Piece Prize does not do NCAA style bracketed tournament formats.
February 27th: Individual
The last day of February hosted a wonderful cast of fun folks puzzling together from 21 different states. All while puzzling people got to enjoy trivia and prizes from Freak Flag Organics, Mama’s Garden, Verse Chocolate and Completing the Puzzle.
The Queen of February!
Beyonce and Justin Timberlake aren’t the only ones finding success with a solo career. Hailing from Olympia, Washington the puzzler Tamara Dorn took first place in the individual category after having won with her posse just two weeks earlier!
February 14th: Two or More
It must have been the Valentine's Day spirit; last night's Piece Prize event was filled with fun stories and fast puzzlers. And we learned that the key to a healthy marriage is travel (although Piece Prize isn't sure whether that's together or separate).
A Valentine’s Victory!
The Tamara Dorn crew from Olympia Washington finished their Springbok Puzzles in just under 43 minutes but others were right behind them. But don’t worry, no one finished broken hearted.
January 31st: Individual
We learned that COVID certainly has provided opportunities and challenges; Hannah Clark has had to postpone her wedding four times, but on the other hand, Kris Lindner became a first time horse owner and loves spending time with someone who doesn’t talk back – much. And did you know that only Florida grows the kind of strawberries that are red all the way through? That’s the kind Lori Martz used in her chocolate-dipped strawberry booth at the Florida strawberry festival.
Our first place for the last day in January!
Congratulations to Christina Schwie of St Paul. Christina managed to complete her puzzle just a hair under an hour and a half! 89 minutes to be precise!
January 15th: Two or More
And now we know that many puzzlers are an active bunch off the puzzling table. Ambur Klein’s family are all competitive curlers (it’s harder than you think!) and Linda Kreuger’s entire family are downhill ski instructors. There’s some serious ying and yang going on with these families!
Our second official
Piece Prize victors!
Some serious puzzlers united at this event to finish their puzzle in just 32 minutes! Sarah Schuler, Lisa Schuler, and Michaela Keener came together to pull off the astonishing time. Congratulations to a team effort in puzzling!
Our inaugural Piece Prize event came together beautifully on December 26. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a blast!
Shout out to the winners!
Two or More
The Spring family finished their puzzle the quickest in the group event. They call themselves the Puzzle Pals, and live in Minnesota City, Minnesota (population 207)!
Individual
Grey Rogers of Shreveport, Louisiana finished the puzzle the quickest in the individual event. Grey just started puzzling in 2020 and certainly has gotten the hang of it!
